Why is the Rice Diet the right diet?

Dr Walter Kempner discovered the Rice Diet in 1939 after years of basic science (laboratory based) research on kidney cells and rats. He discovered that hypertension, heart failure and renal (kidney) disease could be helped on a very low sodium, fat and protein diet. At first he thought that this diet would only be able to be maintained for days or weeks, but found that with CLOSE MEDICAL SUPERVISION patients could do well for much longer.

The Rice Diet is a lifestyle diet that maintains a low sodium, fat and protein intake. It is actually a very natural diet of all the basic components of a well balanced diet. Restrictions are tailored to the individual circumstances and can be liberalized as the patient improves and eradicates some of their reversible illnesses. It is a lifestyle and diet that can easily be maintained throughout ones life. Rice, fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken, lean meats, eggs, pasta and small amounts of dairy products can provide a well balanced diet. Individual restrictions depend on the individuals medical conditions. The diet can be used for weight reduction or can be a maintenance diet. It can be used for the treatment of diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and heart failure and peripheral arterial disease. The Rice Diet can reverse the effects and some of the damage that is induced by all the afore mentioned diseases. It has been able to reverse many of the severe complications that can occur with long standing diabetes ad hypertension.

Whether it is something that you adopt early in life, or only after you need to, due to obesity and its concomitant problems, the Rice Diet can work for you, in its strictest form when needed and in its modified form as a life long diet.
